VitaCare Cool Mint & Key Lime Mouth Wash – 354ml (£10.20)

So this is my first and long awaited review of a mouth wash.  If you go into your health food shops, you’ll see a few ‘natural’ mouth washes, most of which I have tried in the past.  This particular one had escaped me, until now.

In short, it doesn’t contain any Fluoride, Alcohol, Parabens, Phthalates.  No Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sulfates, No artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.  It’s also Gluten Free and not tested on animals.  What’s not to like?

The taste is a strange, but not unpleasant, mix of mint and lime, but doesn’t leave a synthetic after taste, especially first thing in the morning after having used it last thing the night before!  It doesn’t turn your tongue green as it is transparent and it also claims to “maintain a balanced pH level”, unlike the supermarket alcohol based mouthwashes.

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, sorbitol, natural flavor, polysorbate 20, sodium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C), tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), cholecalciferol (vitamin D), calcium lactate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) fruit powder, xylitol, citrus aurantifolia (lime) peel extract, stevia rebaudiana extract, phytic acid, potassium sorbate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate.

I’m finding this one hard to pin down, the link below is to Amazon UK, but I know it’s also sold in Whole Foods.  Help tracking it down would be most appreciated!
