Hi Del, I’m so glad to have discovered your blog, it’s incredibly interesting. I wondered whether you know of any shampoo for fine hair? I’ve tried so many organic and ‘natural’ shampoo’s like Jason, Australian Organics, and A’kin but find they are quite drying. I’m currently testing out Phytovolume and it seems to be one of the better ones. What do you think chemical-wise of this brand? from Emily

You describe yourself as having ‘Fine hair’ but your issue seems to be ‘Dry hair’.  Both Dry and Fine hair requires a shampoo that will not strip (so SLS free) and a conditioner that will add moisture. All the brands you mention are Del Brown Approved, so I’m going to suggest a few products that you may not have tried. They all contain ingredients that won’t strip your hair and contain natural moisturisers.

I’d also have you tried using a hair serum or oil.  This will help infuse your hair with moisture and with regular use, may help bring your dry hair under control.

Dr Hauschka Neem Hair Oil

Akamuti Red Palm Oil

All the rage at the moment is Argan oil.  There are LOTS of manufactures of argan oil out there on the market at the moment, so as long as the ingredients read “100% argan oil”, you’re onto a winner.
